Rooms at The Old Stone Inn
A
refined, relaxing mountain atmosphere is found in all of the Inn's
accommodations. Our rooms are cozy, yet not fussy, with private baths,
firm beds, fresh linens and towels, ceiling fans and other soothing
amenities. Color cable TV is provided in all rooms. Our Rhododendron
Rooms, Chestnut Suites and Private Cottages also have hair
dryers, irons and ironing boards.
All
rooms have screened windows that open, allowing the cool mountain
breezes to flow through. They also have heat and blankets too … you'll
need it most evenings here in the mountains. All rooms except the Oak
Terrace rooms are air conditioned in the unlikely event you may feel
too warm! All rooms as well as our restaurant are non-smoking. Smoking
is allowed outside. Small,
well mannered pets are welcome in select rooms with an advance
notice. Please let us know when calling for reservations if you are
traveling with a pet.
Our
property is made up of seven different buildings on more than three
acres. Guest
accommodations are in rooms, suites and private cottages and most can
comfortably house a maximum of two adults. Our suites are larger and
feature a more comfortable seating area with a sofa and rocker plus a
gas log fireplace. The cottages are individual buildings each with a
separate living room and bedroom. They are our largest and most private
guest accommodation with gas log fireplaces and private porches.
Rates
given for all rooms are for two people and are subject to seasonal
changes. Expect higher rates in October.
Oak Terrace Room -
$99 per night
Our
smallest and most economical rooms. They have a mountain lodge
atmosphere with one queen or two double beds, reading chairs, private
bathroom with shower, in-room sink, hardwood floor, mortared stone or
wood walls, beamed ceiling and covered porch with rockers. Please note
that Oak Terrace Rooms are not air conditioned. The building
is
very shaded, the windows open and there is a ceiling fan; these rooms
have been rented un-airconditioned for 65 years.
Rhododendron
Room - $119 per night
These
are larger, more modern lodge-type rooms. With windows on three sides
these are bright, spacious rooms with a king bed, rockers and wall
bench, private bathroom with tub/shower, separate vanity and dressing
area, air conditioning, carpeted floor, pine walls, vaulted ceiling and
a wide covered porch with rockers … perfect for squirrel or bird
watching or just enjoying your afternoon Sangria.
Chestnut Suite -
$119 per night
Spacious
rooms on the 2nd floor of the Main Lodge with a queen bed, cozy in-room
seating area with sofa and rocker, gas log fireplace, lots of windows,
private bathroom with shower, in-room vanity, air conditioning,
carpeted floor, rich wormy chestnut walls and vaulted ceiling. We have
two adjacent suites; perfect for two couples traveling together.
Please
note that these rooms are directly above our dining room and adjacent
to our bar making them the least private and least quiet rooms on
property.
Mountain Laurel
Cottage - $139 per night
One
bedroom cottage with queen bed, bathroom with tub/shower, mini-fridge,
living room with sofa and rocker, gas log fireplace, air conditioning,
wood floors, pine walls and private deck.
Summer House
Cottage -$139 per night
One
bedroom cottage with queen bed, bathroom with tub/shower, mini-fridge,
living room with sofa and rocker, gas log fireplace, air conditioning,
carpeted floors, pine walls and private deck overlooking a wooded
ravine.
Azalea Cottage -
$149 per night
Our
largest one bedroom cottage with a king-size bed, bathroom with
tub/shower, mini-fridge, living room with sofa and rocker, gas log
fireplace, air conditioning, carpeted floors, pine walls and private
deck.
Hemlock Cottage -
$169 per night
Two
bedroom cottage each with queen bed and private bathroom with shower,
living room with sofa, rocker, gas log fireplace, air conditioning,
mini-fridge, carpeted floor, pine walls and large private deck.
Rate
shown for the Hemlock Cottage is for two people.
Additional per person charges may apply.
